The Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society (NNNPS) will host its annual sale of native plants on Saturday, September 8, 2017, from 9 AM until Noon at Wicomico Parish Church in Wicomico Church. The sale will feature at least sixty varieties of flowers, ferns, grasses, trees, vines and shrubs that are native to the Virginia Coastal Plain. Featured plants will include American Beautyberry, Butterfly Weed (host plant for the Monarch Butterfly), Coastal Azalea, Cardinal Flower, and Eastern Red Columbine, all native specifically to the Northern Neck, as well as several adaptable but often hard to find native trees and shrubs.
